Q&A

  1. How did you start with photo/video?
I worked as a journalist at the radio station Radio Kolor, TV broadcast Canal+ Poland and the Przeglad Sportowy newspaper. My first photo job was as a photo editor in the biggest Polish daily sport newspaper. Then I became photo editor-in-chief, manager of the photo agency and finally photographer. Since 2004 I work as a freelancer photographer. I’m a stringer for Getty Images. I have organized the Warsaw Photo Expo Fair for Pro Photographers for seven years, it is a big photo event with more than 750 participating photographers.
  1. How would you describe your style?
Nobel Prize winner Olga Tokarczuk said: "Writing means finding points of view that are neither visible nor obvious." In photography, I follow the same motto. My photo works are kind of photo journalism and my speciality is sports photography.
  1. What inspires you?
I’m a museum lover. Paintings, sculptures and another pieces of art inspire me. I also collect photo books.
  1. What is your dream shoot or project?

  1. What is your best advice to others that want to develop as photographers?
These two questions are important: What do you want to show in the pictures? And what for? If the photographer knows the answers - the rest is much easier.
