X6 is designed for moments that move. Mount it, hold it or carry it into the scene and let the dual-lens 360 system capture the full environment around you. Instead of choosing one angle before the action begins, you can follow a rider, reveal the landscape, turn the view towards yourself or create several edits from the same recording. The Invisible Selfie Stick effect removes a compatible selfie stick from the final 360 image, creating dramatic third-person perspectives that look as though the camera is floating alongside the action.

At the centre of the camera is a 1/1.1-inch square sensor with a 1-inch equivalent imaging area for 360 video, supported by a triple AI chip system. X6 records immersive 360 footage at up to 8K50fps, with 6K up to 60fps and 4K up to 100fps for faster movement. For stills, it captures 360 photos at up to 120MP, preserving expansive scenes with the detail needed for close inspection, reframing and creative crops.

10-bit colour, I-Log and Dolby Vision give creators more room to shape the atmosphere of a scene, from bright mountain light to city nights. H.265 encoding with a maximum video bit rate of 240Mbps supports detailed recording, while the f/2.0 aperture and dedicated night video modes help keep the camera useful when the light fades. The 2.32-inch OLED screen provides a clear interface for changing modes and reviewing the shot on location.

When a traditional action-camera view is the better choice, Single-Lens Mode records flat video at up to 5K60fps, with 4K frame rates up to 120fps for smooth slow motion. Free Ratio Recording captures up to 6K square footage for flexible 16:9, 9:16, 4:3, 3:4 or 1:1 output, making one recording easier to adapt for different channels. Pan/Tilt Mode 2.0 can also create a directed flat view while retaining a panoramic backup at supported settings.

FlowState Stabilization and 360 Horizon Lock work with the six-axis gyroscope to keep footage smooth and level through turns, impacts and uneven ground. Replaceable Lenses 2.0 adds reassurance for active use, while the body is waterproof to 20 metres without a dive case and designed to operate from -20°C to 40°C. At 196g, X6 remains compact enough for travel, outdoor sport and everyday carry.

The 2600mAh battery provides up to 140 minutes of 8K30fps 360 recording in laboratory test conditions. With a compatible 30W PPS charger, it reaches 80% in approximately 24 minutes and 100% in approximately 35 minutes. X6 also includes 64GB of built-in storage, with 47GB available, and supports UHS-I V30 or faster microSD cards for extended recording.

An in-house AI model makes the journey from capture to finished video more direct. Auto editing can identify highlights and help create ready-to-share cuts in the Insta360 app, while desktop projects can be exported through Insta360 Studio. Wind-protected microphones and audio options including intelligent wind reduction, voice enhancement, stereo, Dolby Atmos and engine sound enhancement help the soundtrack match the energy of the image.

The Essentials Bundle is prepared for longer days outside. An extra 2600mAh Xtreme Battery extends the available shooting setup, while the 114cm Invisible Selfie Stick opens up wide follow shots and floating third-person views.
